Calumet City, Ill., May 25, 2012 - PCC (Plastics Color Corporation), a leading supplier of color concentrates, compounds and additive masterbatches for the plastics industry, today announced the appointment of Nick Hennessey of Cincinnati, Ohio to the position of sales representative for the states of Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia and Michigan. In making the announcement, PCC’s National Sales Manager Dave Minor noted Hennessy’s 30 years of sales experience, 18 of which are in the plastics industry. Minor stated, “We are confident that Nick will be a top sales producer for Plastics Color Corporation as he continues the development of this key Midwest territory.” “This is a great time to be joining PCC,” said Hennessy. “The company is growing and constantly innovating. The support and resources provided to the sales team are very encouraging, much better than I’ve seen in prior positions.” Prior to joining PCC, Hennessy was southeastern sales manager for Package Containers Corporation. He holds a B.S. in Business from Indiana University. Plastics Color’s staff has been growing constantly over the past three years as demand for its innovative new products ramps up. In February the company announced additions in production, management and accounting. This follows the addition of several key technical positions last fall. “As we add new products and services to our portfolio we need to create new positions to ensure we remain at the top of our game,” said VP of Business Development Timothy Workman. At last month’s National Plastics Exposition (NPE) 2012 show in Orlando PCC announced three new products: FlamaSol FR™, a new line of flame retardant packages, isaac™, a web portal to various information services, and SoluPur™ with EcoPure®, a line of products that allows polymers to biodegrade in microbe-rich landfills. “These products are only possible when we have the very best people in place to engineer them and produce them,” said Workman.
