The overwhelming critical need in producing plastic containers and other packaging for the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical markets is cleanliness and elimination of any possible contamination. Plastics Color is a leader in the development and production of colorants and additives for this market. In 2007 we introduced our Plant Within A Plant segregated manufacturing facility contained within our Asheboro, North Carolina campus. It was a resounding success and the industry took notice. From lessons learned in Asheboro, and by listening to our customers, we designed and constructed our new leading-edge clean compounding facility in Southern California. PCC California, which opened late in 2010, was built specifically to produce engineer-grade materials for pharma, medical and food products. The plant contains many innovative additions and operates with minimal human intervention, resulting in reduced potential for contamination..
